Founder Jerry Longo grew up in his mother's kitchen in South Philly helping her prepare her authentic "Italian Soul Food" specialties. Menu items include dishes that were lovingly prepared in a traditional Italian-American household and have delighted customers ranging from Billy Joel and The Sopranos cast members to New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and tight end Rob Gronkowski.
LONGO'S brand originated in the Historic Federal Hill area in Providence, RI, where owner Jerry Longo created a unique menu of authentic Italian cuisine. Jerry, along with his talented culinary team have decided to bring their authentic brand back down to the Delaware Valley area in which Longo grew up.
Owner Longo was born and raised in South Philly where he learned to respect and appreciate his Italian-American culture. Jerry often found himself in the kitchen with his mother preparing "Italian Soul Food," which now lives on through the menu items offered at Jerry Longo's Meatballs & Martinis. Menu items are reminiscent of those commonly prepared in an Italian-American household. Using only the finest imported and the freshest local ingredients, LONGO'S menus are designed to inspire exploration and sharing.
Longo restaurants are known to be frequently visited by well-known celebrities, including the legendary Billy Joel, several actors from the Sopranos, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and tight end Rob Gronkowski, American actor Richard Jenkins and many more.
In addition to this new dining menu, Jerry Longo's Meatballs & Martinis features custom craft cocktails and an extensive wine selection. All within an authentic, fun, energized environment that includes live music and entertainment for guests to enjoy, including two high limit table games within the new restaurant's patio space.
