Born in Chicago and shaped by the sound, culture and traditions of Mexico , two-time Latin GRAMMY®-nominated Mariachi Herencia de México has emerged as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary mariachi. With virtuosic musicianship and a deep reverence for the tradition, the ensemble brings the music of generations into the present with remarkable clarity and purpose. Their sound draws from the great canon of Mexican song—rancheras, boleros, sones and huapangos—while embracing a broader musical vocabulary, creating a sound that feels at once deeply rooted and unmistakably of the present.

Mariachi Herencia de México has built an acclaimed international touring career, performing throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada and appearing on many of North America’s leading concert and performing arts stages. Along the way, the ensemble has earned two Latin GRAMMY® nominations and a growing reputation for performances defined by musical excellence, sophistication and an extraordinary connection with audiences. At its heart, Mariachi Herencia de México is the story of a tradition passed from one generation to the next— honoring where the music comes from while giving it a voice for where it is going.
