Cathy Terzis was a former restaurant and bar owner for over 15 years. After selling her business in 1995, she felt her years of customer service experience would be best served in Missouri’s new casino industry. Cathy began her casino career for six years in Table Games as a Dealer and Floor Supervisor. In 2002, Cathy was promoted to Casino Host where she enjoyed interacting with her guests. She was promoted to Executive Casino Host in 2006 and has remained a constant member of the Bally’s Kansas City family. In her spare time, Cathy enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with her husband and her four grandchildren.
Email HostVaughn Yarbrough is a native New Yorker who relocated to the St. Louis area to attend Lindenwood University. He began his career in the gaming industry over 11 years ago starting as a Table Games Clerk. From there he worked his way into Security before transitioning to Casino Host. Vaughn earned the Chairman’s Award for Exceptional Customer Service and competed for the national title. Vaughn joined the Bally’s Kansas City team in 2013 as a Casino Host and has been part of the Bally’s Kansas City family ever since. Vaughn enjoys going to dinner with his wife and watching his son play sports.
Email HostNancy Johnson has been in the casino industry for 20+ years. She started as a Cage Cashier Supervisor. Nancy switched direction and became an Executive Casino Host where she enjoyed meeting and greeting her guests as if they were family. Nancy joined the Bally’s Kansas City team in December of 2020 as a Casino Host and has enjoyed reaching out to old guests and getting to know new ones. Family fills Nancy’s spare time along with her small dog Isabell. She is also a close follower of the paranormal.
Email HostMike DeFeo was born and raised in Kansas City. He started his career in the casino industry in 1997 as a Change Person. Mike then became an Ambassador and supervised the Star Club Lounge. Mike joined the Bally’s Kansas City team in 2008 as a Guest Services Representative. His personal interaction with our guests is what makes him the gentleman’s gentleman he is! Mike’s personal life consists of his wife, daughter and his three beautiful grandchildren. Mike also enjoys reading, gardening, his golden doodle Lilly and antique tools.
Email HostXochitl came to the United States in 1975 from Mexico City, Mexico. Xochitl owned her own travel agency for 12 years and has worked in the Casino industry for 18 years. She started her career with Bally’s Kansas City in 2015. She loves working with our guests, making her a great addition to the host team. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family and cats.
Email HostNghia Nguyen began his casino career in 1998 as a Cage Cashier and Slot Host. Nghia served an Internship at Missouri Investment and after graduating Park University with a bachelor’s degree in Business, he became an Asian Casino Executive. Nghia moved across country to Morongo Casino and Spa in Cabazon California as a Host and VIP Manager. His decision to return to Kansas City landed him the position of Director of Asian Marketing. Nghia brings a business sense that he has honed from his personal work in Insurance as well as Real Estate. If Nghia has any spare time he enjoys movies and giving back to his community. Nghia is also fluent in Vietnamese and Spanish.
Email HostDT is originally from Nebraska, the Cornhusker State. He relocated to Kansas City in 2021 to begin his new chapter as an Asian Marketing Host. DT joined Bally’s Kansas City in May of 2023 and is excited to be part of a wonderful team where he hopes to contribute to the continued growth of Bally’s. DT loves sports and enjoys taking nature walks. He also does yoga and calisthenics and spends much of his time trading stocks.
